Pangs of Guilt.

“NO!” She woke up, screaming.

The nightmares of a slimy bodied baby with a disfigured face, wailing and creeping towards her haunted her daily.

Few days ago in that cold room with her legs on the stirrups, she knew what lay ahead.

The plight of her tarnished soul was painful.

But the screams of that little soul she took away were unbearable.


This is in response to the first prompt of the Five Sentence story prompt challenge set up by Diganta Misra and team. 

I would suggest everyone to actively participate in this weekly initiative. It can prove to be a good stage to exhibit as well as hone your writing skills.

This is also my first ever attempt at any promt πŸ˜…. I hope i did well enough.
